How to mimimise the spreed of Weeds and Seeds
Vehicles should avoid leaving designated access tracks or roads.
All vehicles should be thoroughly washed and cleaned before going to site.
They should also be washed weekly to keep on top of cleanliness.
Drivers should check their boots are clean.
Report any sightings of weed to the Queensland Government – Dept. Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry.
What to look out for on your vehicle
Heavy machinery, farm machinery, wheeled loaders, mining and construction equipment and trucks may contain weed/seed contaminated mud on the tracks/ tyres, wheel flaps, behind guards, under the body on the floor mats, trapped in radiators etc.
Cars and 4x4 also may contain seeds or weed infected mud and should also be checked over as above.
